Our Foundation
What's New, The Foundation Update
Our 2008 Project is Refurbishing Patient Rooms
Dunn Memorial Hospital Foundation has selected as it's current project assisting Dunn Hospital with the refurbishing of patient rooms. The Foundation will provide funds for a portion of the project. The room updates will include some new furniture, painting, softgoods, and artwork. Employees of the Hospital will create the room decor and be active members in each room’s formation as part of an overall plan coordinated by an interior design firm. Our goal is to create a more stimulating and healing atmosphere for our patients.

The Tree of Life:
Creating a lasting tribute
A beautiful wall sculpture is now in place in the hallway just off the main lobby at Dunn Memorial Hospital. The sculpture provides you with a meaningful and lasting memorial or tribute for your loved ones. Brass leaves provide up to four lines of inscription for your tribute. You may choose to celebrate a birth or an anniversary, or perhaps you may find the Tree of Life to be a meaningful and thoughtful way to memorialize the life of a loved one. Some people purchase a leaf in their own name to support the Hospital and Foundation.
Leaves are available at a cost of $250.00. Staff would be delighted to schedule a visit for you to see the Tree of Life, or you may call the Foundation for more information at (812) 276-1242.
An overview of the Dunn Memorial Hospital Foundation
Since it’s founding in 1904, Dunn Memorial Hospital has been dedicated to its mission of providing patient-focused care with a commitment to excellence and integrity.
Today, all hospitals face a similar challenge in meeting the needs of their patients while dealing with the costs of rapid technological advances and cutbacks in funding. The Dunn Memorial Hospital Foundation, with your support, helps bridge that gap.
Promoting Improvement
Incorporated in 1971, the Foundation was created to promote the improvement of the facilities and services of Dunn Memorial Hospital, to promote education and scientific research, and to aid in the care of the sick and aged.
Meeting the mission of the Foundation would not be possible without your ongoing support and contributions. Your donations help keep the health care facilities in our communities strong.
