Healthcare in the comfort of your home
What is Home Health Care?
Home Health Care brings a full range of medical and social services to the patient under the orders of a physician. Intermittent nursing care and other services are provided to patients in order to restore their health and independence or to minimize the effects of an illness or disability and to help the patient and their family or caregiver learn the care necessary to continue living in the home.
Dunn Home Health Care maintains contact with both the patient and the physician. The staff keeps the doctor informed of changes in the patient's condition and acts on his/her orders. The home health care team provides services which contribute to the patient's welfare and shares health skills and information so that the patient and caregivers can become more independent.
When is Home Health Care appropriate?
Persons are considered for Home Health Care when their medical, nursing, therapy, and social needs are intermittent and capable of being met within the confines of their own home safely. Home care does not provide ongoing, 24 hour, around the clock or respite services.
